L’Absolu Rouge in FAST KISSES

MONTREAL, June 10, 2010 – Lancôme Makeup Artist, Lora Spiga , has collaborated with fashion designer Mark Fast to create a make-up look complementing the knitwear garment he designed exclusively for Luminato to reinterpret Lancôme’s iconic rose and femininity.

The key make-up accessory that makes the look? A fuchsia lipstick matching Fast’s one-off creation for Luminato. Hand-picked by Mark Fast and Lora Spiga , the very limited edition of L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick has been named FAST KISSES by Fast himself and will be sold at two exclusive locations in Canada at www.lancome.ca/markfast [Shop the limited edition] and at the Lancôme counter at The Bay Queen in Toronto from June 17 to June 19, 2010 or until stock runs out.

On June 17th, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm, come down to The Bay Queen to meet Mark Fast and Lora Spiga who will be available to autograph their exclusive L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick shade FAST KISSES.

“Make-up is an extension of the emotion and attitude of the design,” said Fast. “An all-in-one quality is what I seek in the relationship between design and make-up”, he adds.

Fast’s interpretation of the iconic Lancôme rose was born of his desire to develop a unique visual expression that goes beyond garment. Fast’s fashion design symbolizes the elegant structure of the rose while the rope structure represents the emotion the Lancôme woman evokes.

Working in synergy with Mark Fast, Lora created a look characterized by a flawless complexion that evokes the rose – skin is even, smooth and uniform with a soft velvety finish that captures the light. The eyes reveal their true strength in the shape and intensity of the eyebrows. The lips are perfectly defined and contoured in the one of a kind shade, FAST KISSES. The epitome of femininity. Unique, like the rose.

“For me, many of the characteristics of the rose are parallel to that of a woman; namely its flawless beauty, uniqueness, and strength. I wanted to create a look that truly represented those features and that at the same time was an extension of Mark Fast’s design,” said Lora.

THE LOOK APPLICATION:

1. Start with a very well moisturized complexion. This includes eyes and lips.

2. Apply La Base Pro to T-Zone. This will help perfect your make-up result and give a more flawless finish.

3. Apply Teint Idole Fresh Wear all over the face with your hands. Start at the center of the face and spread outward. Use the foundation brush to even the foundation out. This ensures uniformity.

4. Apply Effacernes concealer into the inner corner of the eye to create more lightness. Use concealer to perfect the skin.

5. Set with Color Ideal Pressed powder. Apply only in concealed areas, side of the nose and between eyebrows. Do not apply powder to entire face.

6. Contour using Tropiques Minérale Pressed Powder Bronzer in Suntan. Focus on the areas that naturally get sun (nose, across the center of the face, forehead).

7. For a stronger contoured effect, apply bronzer with a brush #7 (Precision Blush Brush) underneath the cheek bones brushing towards the ears and on jawline.

8. Apply Blush Subtil in Shimmer Mocha Havanna in large circular motions on cheekbones moving up towards hairline.

9. Prep the eye with Aquatique eyeshadow base. This will give the eye a very clean look and help shadow to stay all day.

10. Tap Color Design Eye Shadow in Honeymoon onto mobile lid with fingertips.

11. Apply 2-3 coats of Définicils Mascara. Be sure to stretch the mascara from root to tip paying close attention to the root. This allows you to create the illusion of a fuller lash line without the added eyeliner.

12. Apply L’Absolu Rouge in Fast Kisses. Start at the center of the lips.
