Women often ask: which color should I put on my eyes if I wear a blue dress; or on my lips if my shirt is pink? Lots of us would like our make-up to perfectly match the color of our clothes.

Well, of course the result is pretty, but it’s not the most modern you can get. As always when you try to match everything perfectly, the final look can be a little bit (well, I won’t say boring but…) uneventful.
Of course you don’t have to wear blue eye shadow AND red lipstick with a pink shirt (except if this is your personal style); but don’t hesitate to use your make-up to add a little modern touch to your look. If you wear mostly neutral colors (brown, beige, grey, black or white), a purple or khaki eye shadow (Ombre Absolue A40 Chant de Lavande) would be great, alternatively, so would of course a deep red lipstick (L’Absolu Rouge in Idole).

If you have bright colors like reds and pinks in your wardrobe, don’t try to find the same ones for your lips: it will never be exactly the same color and the result will be better with a truly different color. For instance, Color Fever in Orange n°80 with a khaki jacket, or in Rock Icon Fuschia with a lilac shirt.

During a make-up animation, I’d rather it be the beauty consultant who introduced me to the customer, to make the customer feel special and experiencing an extraordinary day. I talk with the customer at first about herself, her cosmetic habits, the products she likes to use or she does not prefer to use. Then, I explain her briefly what I am going to let her learn at this very special day.

Before applying make-up, the very important point for me is, starting with cleaning my hands and letting her see it , spraying parfume to the tissues I put around her collar and completely preparing her face with skin care, for a perfect make-up solution. When I apply any skin care or makeup, I explain her the characteristcs and technologies of these precious products. And, I also talk about how important it is to prepare skin before make-up.

During finding out customers make-up style, I learn her expectations, I observe her features, her gaze, her attitude and even her dressing style.

At this point, my star product is GENIFIQUE YOUTH ACTIVATOR, I emphasize how important it is to use such a product.

After the skin is ready, now it is time to set the perfect color with an impaccable foundation to the skin. I utilise very much from the trainings I got for years, to set the right colors. My perfect foundation Teint Idole Ultra is inevitable for a flawless result. And, of course, I can never forget Tropique Minerale. With Tropiques Minérale I can save time by using it as blush, eye shadow, even to lips before a gloss.

At eye make-up may best products are, Ombre Absolue series, Le Crayon Khôl, Ôscillation Powerbooster and of course Hypnôse Precious Cells. At eye make-up, my philosophy is emphasizing the perfect parts with a natural look, even if I use dark colors.

At lip make-up, I also prefer shine with wet looking in natural tones for glosses and lipsticks . My best products are Juicy Tubes, Color Fever Gloss and L’Absolu Crème de Brillance.

The key make-up accessory that makes the look? A fuchsia lipstick matching Fast’s one-off creation for Luminato. Hand-picked by Mark Fast and Lora Spiga , the very limited edition of L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick has been named FAST KISSES by Fast himself and will be sold at two exclusive locations in Canada at www.lancome.ca/markfast [Shop the limited edition] and at the Lancôme counter at The Bay Queen in Toronto from June 17 to June 19, 2010 or until stock runs out.

On June 17th, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm, come down to The Bay Queen to meet Mark Fast and Lora Spiga who will be available to autograph their exclusive L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick shade FAST KISSES.

“Make-up is an extension of the emotion and attitude of the design,” said Fast. “An all-in-one quality is what I seek in the relationship between design and make-up”, he adds.

Fast’s interpretation of the iconic Lancôme rose was born of his desire to develop a unique visual expression that goes beyond garment. Fast’s fashion design symbolizes the elegant structure of the rose while the rope structure represents the emotion the Lancôme woman evokes.

Working in synergy with Mark Fast, Lora created a look characterized by a flawless complexion that evokes the rose – skin is even, smooth and uniform with a soft velvety finish that captures the light. The eyes reveal their true strength in the shape and intensity of the eyebrows. The lips are perfectly defined and contoured in the one of a kind shade, FAST KISSES. The epitome of femininity. Unique, like the rose.

“For me, many of the characteristics of the rose are parallel to that of a woman; namely its flawless beauty, uniqueness, and strength. I wanted to create a look that truly represented those features and that at the same time was an extension of Mark Fast’s design,” said Lora.

THE LOOK APPLICATION:

1. Start with a very well moisturized complexion. This includes eyes and lips.

2. Apply La Base Pro to T-Zone. This will help perfect your make-up result and give a more flawless finish.

3. Apply Teint Idole Fresh Wear all over the face with your hands. Start at the center of the face and spread outward. Use the foundation brush to even the foundation out. This ensures uniformity.

4. Apply Effacernes concealer into the inner corner of the eye to create more lightness. Use concealer to perfect the skin.

5. Set with Color Ideal Pressed powder. Apply only in concealed areas, side of the nose and between eyebrows. Do not apply powder to entire face.

6. Contour using Tropiques Minérale Pressed Powder Bronzer in Suntan. Focus on the areas that naturally get sun (nose, across the center of the face, forehead).

7. For a stronger contoured effect, apply bronzer with a brush #7 (Precision Blush Brush) underneath the cheek bones brushing towards the ears and on jawline.

8. Apply Blush Subtil in Shimmer Mocha Havanna in large circular motions on cheekbones moving up towards hairline.

9. Prep the eye with Aquatique eyeshadow base. This will give the eye a very clean look and help shadow to stay all day.

10. Tap Color Design Eye Shadow in Honeymoon onto mobile lid with fingertips.

11. Apply 2-3 coats of Définicils Mascara. Be sure to stretch the mascara from root to tip paying close attention to the root. This allows you to create the illusion of a fuller lash line without the added eyeliner.

12. Apply L’Absolu Rouge in Fast Kisses. Start at the center of the lips.
