Want to celebrate Halloween and enjoy its festive atmosphere in a spooky mix of darkness and happiness?
This year, keep your un-sexy pumpkin costume in the closet! Instead, choose to look great as a gorgeous starving vampire or super-appealing witch… But be careful, there are 3 basic rules that imperatively can not be broken, to avoid any blunders.
Rule N°1: DO NOT put too much make-up on. Only 3 or 4 key products with elaborate textures and colours are necessary to make you the star of the party!
Rule N°2: Wear hyper shining lips! Choose any shade of lipstick (for instance, to stay in the orange-red harmony: Color Fever 102 “Electro Flash Orange”, 104 “Orange fashionista”, 108 “Red on fire”, 151 “Red avant-garde”). Then, put the 108 Color Fever Gloss “Red hysteria” on top of the lipstick to add an extra-shine and a deep red reflect to your lips.
Rule N°3: Show a fantastic foundation sublimed with a blush (Pink or orange, depending on the colour of your costume)
Expert tip: Apply Color Fever Gloss 108 Red Hysteria on your cheeks; this adds a subtle glittery effect and colour to a basic foundation!

Aaron De Mey, our make-up artist, has been part of last Paris Fashion Week.
He has done all the make-up for Riccardo Tisci at GIVENCHY, one of the trendiest shows of the season!
He has reinvented the Nude make-up, to embellish graphic clothes with neutral colours.
- Construct your own Fashion Nude, by first applying a shade of liquid foundation just paler than your natural skin-tone. If you want the total look, add foundation on your eye-brows and try the hype “bleached” effect, for an enigmatic gaze.
- Open your gaze, with using an highlighter under your eyes.
- Add just a touch of mascara, black or brown; the closest shade of your natural colour.
- To finish your nude look, draw your lips’ shape with a crayon, and put a clear or light beige gloss on your lips.
As the winter comes, enjoy a sophisticated nude skin!!!

What do you think of Paris?
Paris is like a fairytale for me. I come from a very young country, so to go to a place with so much history is inspiring and magical.
What are your favorite places in Paris?
When I’m working in Paris, I’ll stay in the first arrondissement because it’s very chic and beautiful and it’s the center of everything. St. Germain des Près is another favorite because I find more of an artistic feeling there. I love the Café de Flore and the Café Les Deux Magots and the connection those places have to Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir. I love visiting the Louvre to see art that most people only get to see in picture books. To experience it for real is so beautiful and inspiring. I love the Marais for its history and architecture and the interesting people who live there today.
Where do you go to relax in Paris?
The Tuilleries Gardens. Just walking through the streets in Paris is relaxing because there’s so much to see.
Describe the style of the women in the cities you travel to most frequently.
With European women, there’s a charm and an elegance. Parisian women in particular manage to be discreet and elegant at the same time and make it look effortless.

How to apply Ôscillation Powerbooster?
The application of Ôscillation Powerbooster is very easy.
1. Push the button to activate the micro-oscillating wand and hold during application
2. Apply at the root of your lashes
3. Gently draw the brush upwards up to the tip of your lash line
4. Apply your favourite mascara
Tips from our National Make-up artists:
To give my eyes a brighter and more striking effect, I apply Ôscillation Powerbooster on my upper and lower eyelashes with several generous coatings. Next, I use Virtuôse green (for brown eyes) or Hypnôse blue (for blue eyes), applying generous coatings around the eye to cover eyelash roots and fill in the rich colour. Lastly, I apply Virtuôse black only to the ends.
End result: the “alone” effect of the colourful mascara provides striking contrast and brightens the eye, and the Virtuôse black eliminates lashes from looking “burned” while giving them extra length.
The combined effect is incredible!
Firstly: use Oscillation Powerbooster to separate every lashes one by one.
Add the volume and strength to each lash at the same time.
Secondly: use Virtuôse Black Carat:
- to give maximum curve and length
- at least two coats, one after the next before the 1st coat dries up
Reason: Asian lashes are usually fine and pointed downwards. But if necessary, Ôscillation is a great choice for the all in one effect.
Thirdly: in the evening or for a party occasion, use Virtuôse Pure Crystal Top Coat:
- to give that shine and charming glitter to create the right mood!
I love to intensify eyes, this requires drawing the lashes to the external corner of the eye.
I first apply Ôscillation Powerbooster to the outer half of the fringe of the lashes, thus giving strength to the eye. Then I apply Hypnôse or Ôscillation over all the eyelashes: the internal corners of the eyes are discrete, while the lashes of the external corners of the eyes are sophisticated and stretched!
A perfect look for a mysterious evening.
